COREON (Committee on Regulation of Health Research) is an expert network of researchers that is committed to the balanced regulation of (observational) health research and an adequate application of those regulations.

About the COREON foundation

COREON is a network in which organizations in the Netherlands that carry out (observational) health research with data and (human biological and image) materials or represent such research can participate. The health researchers, lawyers and data protection officers (DPOs) who represent these organizations together form COREON.

The participation of health researchers, researchers and  data protection officers (DPOs) (including  the advisors of Lygature (HPE portfolio), enables a good interaction between the research field and the privacy, ethics and legal field.

COREON is an important discussion partner for policymakers, subsidy providers and governments, especially ZonMw and the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport.
