IHI Masterclass on Data Sharing: Recording now available

News News

On 4 September, Lygature Senior Program Manager Jan-Willem Boiten participated in an Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) Masterclass that introduced participants to practical tools and tips for sharing data in collaborative health projects.

The Masterclass was based on the recently released Data Sharing Playbook – a comprehensive guide designed to tackle the complex challenges of data sharing in large-scale multi-stakeholder projects such as those under the IMI/IHI framework.

Lygature is proud to have been involved in the development of this important new resource, with our colleague Jan-Willem Boiten contributing as a co-author. Commenting on the new resource, Jan-Willem emphasized the need for improved data-sharing practices: “We observed that data sharing in large collaborative projects is far more complex than anticipated, often taking years before meaningful exchange occurs. With this Playbook, we aim to streamline the process, ensuring that the focus remains on solving pressing health challenges rather than navigating data sharing hurdles.”

The new Playbook should be a game-changer, facilitating collective learning and preventing the repetition of past mistakes, ultimately accelerating scientific advancements in health.
