Kristina Orrling shares highlights on webinar ‘Optimising outcomes in collaborative AMR research’

For that reason, the Global Antibiotic Research & Development Partnership (GARDP) organized the webinar Project management in antimicrobial drug R&D. Together with Julie Miralves from GARDP, our colleague Kristina Orrling was invited to present her expertise on how to build successful partnerships in research & development projects.

Kristina explains: “Collaboration is necessary to tackle today’s biggest, most complex challenges, such as AMR. In my presentation, I shared my insights in how to set up and execute a successful partnership. Many participants were particularly intrigued by the topic of discussions and disagreements that often arise in a collaborative project. I explained that this is expected in a multi-stakeholder partnership when bringing together different cultures, different personalities, and different types of organisations. It can lead to considerable frustrations. However, if you acknowledge and respect your differences, it can also be a source of inspiration and ignite a healthy discussion that generates those truly brilliant ideas that will optimise the project outcomes.”
