Next week, on Thursday 9 November, Lygature will organize the second edition of Lygature LIVE. The event will take place at Villa Jongerius in Utrecht, from 15:00-20:00 and includes dinner. We still have a few spots left, so make sure to register as soon as possible to join Lygature LIVE.

The topic of this year’s Lygature LIVE is “All Inclusive Innovation”. During the main session three speakers will share their experience from projects and initiatives in which expertise from multiple stakeholders is successfully coming together.

Helga Gardarsdottir (UU) will address her experiences with patient engagement and participation in clinical trials. She will highlight the utilization of remote monitoring technologies within decentralized clinical trials (DCTs). By allowing trial participants to engage from the comfort of their own homes, DCTs alleviate the travel burden, rendering trials more accessible to a broader, more diverse patient population. This, in turn, can expedite patient recruitment and retention, two critical challenges in traditional clinical trials.

The second speaker is Remco de Vrueh (Lygature) who will give an insight into engagement with partners in the Global South based on the valuable lessons learned from his involvement in the Pediatric Praziquantel Consortium. Since its inception in 2012 by Merck, Astellas, Swiss TPH and Lygature, the Consortium has continuously and pro-actively integrated the endemic country context, perspective and empowerment at both strategic and operational levels. In 10 years, it has transformed into a true global partnership of six northern and eight southern organizations.

The final speaker of the event is Lindy van Vliet (formerly KIT). Lindy will reflect on challenges in achieving all inclusive innovation in health systems. In her presentation a case will be made to not shy away from a thorough stakeholder and power analysis and activate the health advocate in each one of us. She will address concrete tools and examples to inspire the audience to look beyond the interests of their own organisation or project and critically examine with which stakeholders alliances can be build to work towards more systemic change for all inclusive health systems.

After the presentations, we invite you to contribute your thoughts and ideas during a panel discussion. Lygature LIVE will be concluded by networking drinks and a dinner, allowing further exchange of ideas on a more personal level.
