Lygature congratulates the Medicines Evaluation Board with its 1000th board meeting

News News

Today, the 1000th board meeting of the Medicines Evaluation Board (College ter Beoordeling van Geneesmiddelen) will take place. Lygature congratulates the MEB with this special occasion. To celebrate this milestone, the MEB created a timeline of important historic highlights from its establishment until now.

Lygature and the MEB have a long history of collaborating together. The MEB was involved in the Escher project which was part of TI Pharma, one of Lygature’s predecessors. Escher was launched in 2007 with the aim to help bring about a more efficient and effective regulatory system. Regulatory innovation is an important topic for Lygature and we are pleased to collaborate with the MEB on this topic in many research consortia.

A prime example is the Regulatory Science Network Netherlands (RSNN), which brings together regulatory experts from academia, government bodies, the pharmaceutical industry, and patient organisations. The network aims to advance research into the regulatory system for medicines, and to set the agenda for future research by pooling the expertise of all stakeholders. The MEB is one of RSNN’s initiators and has been a valuable partner ever since.

Congratulations and here’s to many more fruitful years of collaboration!
