Lygature Provides Input on European Commission’s Life Sciences Strategy 2025-2029
Lygature has submitted input to the European Commission’s open consultation on its 2025-2029 Life Sciences Strategy. Our response is now publicly available on the European Commission website.
The European Commission’s strategy aims to enhance competitiveness and innovation, and address challenges in the sector by mobilizing investments and streamlining regulatory frameworks. It highlights the need for stronger research infrastructures, smarter regulation, sustainable investment, and a skilled knowledge base.
Drawing from nearly two decades of experience working at the forefront of public-private partnerships in health and life sciences, Lygature’s input focuses on the challenges and opportunities observed in the life sciences. In particular, it mentions the need for:
- Building a sustainable and mission-driven research and innovation ecosystem
- Boosting long-term investment in research infrastructures and data platforms
- Enhancing responsible use of health data and AI
- Strengthening skills in the next generation of researchers
- Promoting regulatory innovation for greater alignment
