About the Pediatric Praziquantel Consortium
The Pediatric Praziquantel Consortium is an international not-for-profit partnership that aims to reduce the global disease burden of schistosomiasis by addressing the medical needs of infected preschool-aged children. Its mission is to develop, register and provide access to a suitable pediatric praziquantel medication for treating schistosomiasis in this age group.
The Consortium is an example of the Lygature mission to bring together public and private partners to make a meaningful contribution to alleviating disease burden. The project relies heavily on Lygature’s expertise in both management and science. In addition, Lygature provides communication and dissemination support.
