Expert meetings have significantly contributed to the Pediatric Praziquantel Consortium success thus far. These meetings provide an opportunity to consult key opinion leaders or technical experts during the course of R&D programs.
On behalf of the Consortium, an article (Hussaarts et al, 2017) was published in PLoS Neglected Tropical Diseases, describing the crucial role for expert meetings in product development programs for neglected tropical diseases. In it, a tutorial and a how-to are shared, which might be of great value for members of other NTD R&D programs.
