RSNN celebrates its 10 year anniversary in 2025
The Lygature coordinated Regulatory Science Network Netherlands (RSNN) will celebrate its 10 year anniversary in 2025. Over the past 10 years the RSNN has successfully brought relevant stakeholders together around important regulatory topics, and has contributed to setting the agenda for regulatory innovation in the Netherlands and internationally.
The RSNN was founded in 2015 during the FIGON Dutch Medicines Days. The initiative was started by the Medicines Evaluation Board (MEB); the TI Pharma (now Lygature) Escher project; and the Dutch Society of Pharmaceutical Medicine. The goal was to consolidate and strengthen national research networks in the field of regulatory science.
Over the years, the RSNN has evolved into an extensive network of experts and stakeholders from industry, academia, patient representatives, government bodies, and the broader regulatory science field. Its mission is to advance an efficient and effective regulatory system that supports medicines development, marketing authorization, access, and appropriate use of medicines. RSNN shares and disseminates knowledge among all stakeholders and sets the agenda for further research.
Recently, the important role of the RSNN in the evolution of regulatory science in the Netherlands was highlighted by renowned authors from the regulatory field in the publication “The Evolution of Drug Regulatory Sciences in the Netherlands: More than a Country Report” Below are two quotes from this article that point out the added value and purpose of the RSNN:

The RSNN is looking forward to expanding its contribution to regulatory innovation for many years to come.
RSNN Anniversary Events
In 2025, the RSNN will organize a number of special and regular RSNN events and host sessions on external events in which it will highlight its anniversary. These events will be announced on the RSNN website.
Lygature and RSNN
As a partner, Lygature provides the necessary managerial and scientific expertise to the RSNN, ensuring inclusive discussions and meaningful outputs. Activities include handling day-to-day operations of the RSNN, stakeholder management and scientific management.
