Denis Groot joins EUPATI Europe Board of Trustees

EUPATI is the European Patients' Academy on Therapeutic Innovation, a non-profit foundation based in the Netherlands. The mission of EUPATI is to provide accessible, innovative, and inclusive education that empowers patients and representatives with the knowledge, skills, and competencies needed to effectively engage and partner with all stakeholders in medicines R&D. EUPATI is committed to enhancing patient engagement through education, not only in Europe but globally. 

At Lygature, we strongly believe that involving people with lived experience of a medical condition in research projects increases the relevance, acceptance and impact of medical research, and can positively impact the lives of patients as well. Equally important is the moral and ethical perspective, where we follow the “nothing about us without us” principle. Lygature has experience with setting up and managing the activities of patient representative groups within research consortia, who present invaluable insights to the project and ultimately improve its results. For example, Lygature has supported the patient involvement activities of APPROACH, RADAR-CNS, RADAR-AD and other projects.
