Former TI Pharma project moves into the clinic: first volunteers injected with promising malaria vaccine
The injection in three volunteers is the first official step in the human trial programme in the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) and the Radboudumc in Nijmegen. This trial investigates a promising malaria vaccine, Sanaria® PfSPZ-GA1 Vaccine, manufactured by biotechnology firm Sanaria. -

Currently only 25% of cancer treatments are effective, largely because success depends on patient-specific factors such as the patient’s genetic makeup and lifestyle, and specific characteristics of their tumor. A more personalized approach is therefore needed to improve cancer patient outcomes. -
