The injection in three volunteers is the first official step in the human trial programme in the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) and the Radboudumc in Nijmegen. This trial investigates a promising malaria vaccine, Sanaria® PfSPZ-GA1 Vaccine, manufactured by biotechnology firm Sanaria.

On 13 April 2017, Lygature was invited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the annual meeting of the Product Development Partnerships sponsored by the Dutch Government. This years’ theme was 'Access to Medicine'.

Currently only 25% of cancer treatments are effective, largely because success depends on patient-specific factors such as the patient’s genetic makeup and lifestyle, and specific characteristics of their tumor. A more personalized approach is therefore needed to improve cancer patient outcomes.

Frank Miedema, Dean and Vice Chairman of the Executive Board at the University Medical Center Utrecht, has seen the Life Sciences flourishing and improving patient outcomes over the past decades. But there is still a world to win.

On 16-18 October, K4DD will organize an open scientific meeting. The meeting will be hosted by K4DD coordinator Bayer in Berlin, Germany.

November 21 - Interactive parallel sessions were held by representatives from successful public-private partnerships (PPPs) during the morning. In the afternoon, different players from our diverse Life Science & Health sector shared their vision of how PPPs can evolve successfully, and what they can contribute to all those who take part.

The 22nd annual BIO-Europe is Europe's largest partnering conference serving the global biotechnology industry. This year, the conference takes place from 7-9 November in Cologne, Germany.
