We are pleased to share the latest edition of the Lygature newsletter, showcasing key achievements and highlights from Q4 2024.

The Lygature coordinated Regulatory Science Network Netherlands (RSNN) will celebrate its 10 year anniversary in 2025. Over the past 10 years the RSNN has successfully brought relevant stakeholders together around important regulatory topics, and has contributed to setting the agenda for regulatory innovation in the Netherlands and internationally.

After 2.5 intense and productive years, Lygature’s involvement in Oncode Accelerator comes to an end. We are confident that the program is now fully equipped to execute its purpose: to accelerate preclinical cancer therapy development.

World Antimicrobial (AMR) Awareness Week (18-24 November) is a global campaign led by the World Health Organization (WHO) to raise awareness of AMR and reduce the spread of drug-resistant infections. Lygature proudly supports this goal.

Registration is now open for the festive third edition of Lygature LIVE, which will take place on 19 March 2025 (15:00-20:00 including dinner), at Villa Jongerius in Utrecht.

September was a busy month for Lygature's GNA NOW Consortium, as partners gathered in Porto, Portugal, for the Annual Consortium Meeting.

International consortium launches its activities to improve the approach to theranostics-based advanced stage cancer treatment while increasing the overall availability of radioisotopes.

Recently, Lygature was asked by EFPIA to perform an impact assessment of current clinical data disclosure activities on public health. Following up on that request, our colleagues Pieter Stolk and Sophie Huiskes-Berends produced a report titled:  ‘A landscape analysis for responsible transparency and clinical data disclosure for interventional studies in Europe and beyond’.

For the second time in one year, Lygature colleagues were back in Annecy, France over the summer. This time, for the kick-off of a new initiative in the tuberculosis (TB) research space called KITT. 

On 4 September, Lygature Senior Program Manager Jan-Willem Boiten participated in an Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) Masterclass that introduced participants to practical tools and tips for sharing data in collaborative health projects.

The threat of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) poses a significant global health risk. In the lead-up to the United Nations (UN) High-Level Meeting on AMR later this week, a coalition of nine European initiatives, including the GNA NOW Consortium, is calling for sustained investment in antibiotic research and development.

The Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) has released a new Data Sharing Playbook – an important new resource aimed at improving data-sharing practices within multi-stakeholder projects such as those under the IMI/IHI framework. Developed with contributions from Lygature, the Playbook addresses the complexities of data sharing that often hinder collaborative progress.

The European Platform for Neurodegenerative Diseases (EPND) announces the opening of the call for expressions of interest. Applications are welcomed from investigators in academia or industry, with a proven track record in the neurodegenerative disease field.
