Every year on February 4th, the whole world focuses on the impact of cancer during World Cancer Day. Cancer affects everyone. Patients, ex-patients and their families are confronted daily with the consequences of this disease. It also affects the lives of cancer researchers in a different way: they work tirelessly every day to find solutions for cancer.

World Neglected Tropical Diseases Day (WNTDD) will be celebrated on Sunday, 30 January. This is a global event that draws attention to NTDs worldwide with the aim of translating awareness into action to end the neglect of poverty-related diseases.

Today, the Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) is launched. A great new endeavour with the goal to translate health research and innovation into real benefits for patients and societies.
